While I agree that you are too hard on yourself (for christ's sakes, would you let someone talk to one of your friends like that?) I also know that nothing anyone can say will change that (I have been where you are). If you need these pictures to be a catalyst for positive change, well then, off you go! And I will cheer you on every step of the way.
Beautiful is an understatement. No matter what you are a woman. So what you have a few extra pounds. You are carrying it better than a whole lot of women carry the little they do have.
Even with your own view of yourself you still had the courage to put yourself on display. You deserve an applause... not just here but when you walk up the street.

I agree with the others; it's what's in your head, how you feel about yourself, that's more of the issue. If you are looking to feel better about yourself, exercise does help wonders (and diet too, but I'm a junk food junkie, so I'm hardly any help in that department).
Just save any restrictions for AFTER Blogher, cause I just wanna see you having fun (vicariously, of course. I am still so PISSED that I can't go and meet with y'all. Oh well...)
So you have some extra pounds on you...so what? You've had two children in a short amount of time, and you spend more time on them than you do yourself, so it's expected that you have a few extra pounds on you. As long as you're still loving yourself and still confident in the person that you are (which you should be), that's what counts. You're still fabulous, you're still intelligent, and trust me...that beautiful brain of yours trumps those few pounds you put on!
As long as you're motivated to start exercising and doing the right thing (and this better be ALL for you and what would make you feel better...not for anyone else!), you'll shed it in no time. Focus more on the inches, not the pounds, and stay committed to it!

Girl, Please! I am 5'4" and I weigh about 40 pounds more than you. I have three kids and I did not lose any weight in between having them. Their ages are 6, 4 and 3. Although I am often told that I carry my weight well and have a nice shape, that is no consolation prize for me. You look fuckin' great! But, just like I tell myself, if you're unhappy with the size you are, then change it. Hell, I can't wait to get back down to 200 pounds, lol. You are a beautiful woman, Maria!
