*sigh* I'm so tired of this mama drama crap popping back up. I am even more fucking tired of it being women from Wilmington Mommies being the ones bringing it back up! Maria, I know you and I haven't even discussed this new turn of events yet. Probably much to the dismay of the almighty WM gossip queens. But really, I found the whole woe is me, goodbye cruel world post by Allison, funny! Mostly because it was baseless. We never gave her the time of day. Sorry Allison, we didn't talk about you. Only snickered at your lack of computer/internet skills but in jest. However, I was angered that she felt "sorry for the children" of the women. Implying that our children had horrible mothers, and/or parents? Because you don't like us? Please? Allison, come tell that to my husbands face. The one you grew up with. I already have. He has a few things he'd like to say to you.

I think it is really tragic that the "Goodbye Cruel World" thread was taken down. That was not my intent in posting. I was simply acknowledging that the messages being so "cleverly" sent were being received. I'm thoughtful like that.

But to remove the post was to take away one of the great, unintentionally funny writings of our times. It was, in many ways, like that scene in "The Jerk" where Steve Martin's character gets evicted from the mansion, and keeps picking up one more thing to take with him. Classic.

I don't know if Allison returning about 10 times after stating "this is my final post" is the funniest part, or Reenie reassuring Allison she is a good person because she is pretty is funnier. The whole thread could take up two weeks in a Women's Studies class.

You join a mommy group to get involved, have time with the kiddies, other moms, share ideas, give/receive advice, blah, and so on . . . only to become embroiled in some major a$$-kicking, soap-worthy drama involving sex, drugs, political intrigue, and . . . Hey Maria, the one good thing that came out of all that drama, at least for me, was that I found your blog. Your writing about all the mommy politics is what drew me in. I know that you are so over this; I can't believe they are not. I saw some drama when I was involved in a couple of groups, but the majority were pretty normal. Some mommies obviously need to get a life.

I have spent the last 3 hours reading every word from every link, Ive been rivetted.. like in a horror movie where you don't want to watch, so peek through the fingers of the hand covering your face.

Having been through this kind of thing when my children were small I can sympathise to a degree, however, I have never encountered anything quite so full of hatred and vindictiveness.
