Immoral Matriarch: Catechizer: What I do Best.

  • Momo Fali · 1 year ago
How sad is it that I had NO IDEA about the chocolate thing? That's what's wrong with Americans...myself obviously included. We have no clue about the rest of the world. We've become selfish and completely ignorant in our "status". Well guess what? That status is gone. We're no better than any other country in the world and we need to start acting a bit more humble.

I love you just the way you are, Maria! You call 'em as you see 'em, and there's nothing wrong with that!
  • Manners & Moxie · 1 year ago
OMGosh! You and I share a brain. Scared? Ha! I love to start on one subject and continue on to the next just however my heart leads me. Only it's not fair that you produce complete thoughts! I change mid sentence. I plan to pay attention and learn from the pro!!!

    I'm loving your blog, Girl!!!!!
  • Kate · 1 year ago
Love your "rambling"! Your writings are my new favorite form of entertainment:)
  • Jenni · 1 year ago
You're so funny. You remind me of my husband (that's a good thing). He sends me these rambling emails that are pure stream-of-consciousness. But I love it, because I can hear him so clearly through it.
  • LunaNik · 1 year ago
I like you so much. Seriously, you're like my new best friend.

    Because...

I am the same way. Hubby's always telling me that I think to much. I will be EXHAUSTED after sitting quietly simply because my brain is ALWAYS going 100mph.

IRL...we probably would have the most wonderful, random conversations...EVER ;)
  • Kristin · 1 year ago
Haha you are great! Sassy and i like it!
  • BusyDad · 1 year ago
Ramble on Maria! It's like getting 5 posts for the price of one, with a side of attitude. Always good for late night reading. :)
  • Huckdoll · 1 year ago
I do online surveys too. I made around 30 bucks last month and I was pretty damn proud of myself! It's just sitting in my Paypal account waiting to be added to. It's my rainy day fund. It's pretty good for really doing nothing...unless you get those really long ones about alcoholic beverages.....YOU so know...

I have to say I was enlightened for several of your items posted. Enjoyed it.. looking foward to reading more. :)
  • Sadia · 1 year ago
So much to comment on ... what to pick? I love ramblers. I am one myself, and I love me, so it would be hypocritical not love others who speak in stream of consciousness.

I have been bothered, in that itch-always-just-under-the-skin way, about how American pop culture (and I include election commentators and journalists) erase multiculturalism/multiple ethnicity. Towards the beginning of the campaign, Obama was described as half-white, half-black. Now he's just black. In commercials, how often do we see mixed-race couples? The last time I took one of my Doodles to the emergency room, they wanted me to fill out a form with race for the child. I checked "Indian", "Hispanic" and "Caucasian". The nurse told me to pick one. I pointed out that my daughter was half Bengali, quarter Generic-European, quarter Mexican, 100% American and 100% British. Then I checked "Other". Okay, done ranting. For now.

My daughter and I call this our "six-degrees-of-seaparation-conversations." It may not make sense to anyone else, but we know exactly how we got from the first topic to the last. Too funny.

    awesomeness incarnate.

(my posts and my comments fall into one of two categories ... short and almost cryptic ... and freaking novels)

    Love this post!

I was just telling my husband last night that a "regular" person would have already lost their kids and (probably) be sitting in jail for contempt of court if they tried this Britney garbage!

I think what I like about this best is the deep desire I have right now to have a real conversation with you! We would not agree on everything, but it would be a stimulating conversation that would go all over the place, and be fun!

You crack me up with your honesty! I forget how I got here, but I'm sure your google-tracker will tell you! :)

I'm bookmarking you. You're officially my entertainment at work! :)

There are so many things to comment on! I'll start with one and then maybe later I can focus on the rest. I'll start with an easy topic. I feel sorry for Britney-but she looks like Tammy Faye Baker in that picture!

Okay-just one more. I love the idea of testing products and filling out surveys for money. I used to do focus groups. It was fun and I'd make about $50 for an hour of my time!

Wow, please elaborate on the chocolate thing? I would really like to know what that is all about.

I like you. You put it all out there, and I find myself agreeing with you on so many things.
  • Deb · 1 year ago
Ignore the whole global warming thing. Read "The World Without Us" and you may just poop your pants. It's very clear to me now that driving electric cars and drinking my water out of stainless steel isn't enough. The entire human race really just needs to volunteer for extinction to make this whole planet thing work. We are such fuckers.

I can cuss in your comment section, right?

I'm also not voting for Obama because I'm black. I, too, am voting on ideology. Well, that, and I'm not black.

Can we just get together and ramble over tea?
